Abstract :
There are several scenarios where integrated circuits (ICs) are mounted on Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) which might be charged-up and experience CDM-like events. Those discharges are thought to be significantly more critical for the IC than a CDM event of single devices during qualification. The paper analyses the CDM-risk for ICs on boards in terms of discharge waveforms.
