This article first analyzes the strengths and weaknesses on Chongqing undertaking the eastern industry transformation, and then analyzes the characteristics of industry transformation, we found that the share from five provinces and one city has an upward trend year after year, the largest industries is the manufacture industry, added to 49.11%, following by real estate and construction industry, amounting to 31.32%; from the geographical division of view, mainly concentrated in the“one-hour economic circle”, which infrastructure and capacity is better. Finally analyzes the problems during Chongqing to undertake industrial transformation, and put forwards some suggestions.
