Abstract :
This paper will describe how a provider of market leading AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) design applications has developed a new partnering model with global enterprise customer to address current change management challenges with the adoption of BIM (building information modelling) and new processes. The partnering approach has sought to extend historic software utilisation, improve customer-supplier relationships and target the exploitation of training and consulting support. The state of the industry will be discussed and in particular trends in the adoption of BIM. The enterprise customer programme will be described with examples of strategic business and tactical project services delivered through the new initiative. Productivity and quality improvements enabled for supported customers will be referenced, coupled with improved internal and external collaboration through better process and product knowledge.
