Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to design conspicuous region by color features, HSV and Lab. To attract attention, road sign and advertising display are designed. However, it is difficult for us to recognize such kind of objects in a confusing environment. Therefore, this paper clarifies the relation between the saliency of color features of original image and the “conspicuousness” of the selected region, and discusses what kind of color feature makes a contribution to the conspicuousness of the region. In addition, we propose an example of design method to improve conspicuousness.
