Abstract :
Large-scale tungsten oxide tubular nanostructures were synthesized on a substrate with the area of more than 10 cm/sup 2/ by a particular thermal evaporation method. Under different growing conditions, the tubular nanostructures are 1-100 /spl mu/m in length, 150-700 nm in outer diameter, and 50-250 nm in inner diameter. The field emission properties of the samples were studied by the transparent anode technique.
