Abstract
PbTe nanosheets have been successfully fabricated by a facile alkaline hydrothermal method with sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS) or polyvinyl pyrrolidine (PVP). Microstructural analyses show that these single-crystal nanosheets are of 20-80 nm in thickness and 0.2-5 ¿m in-plane sizes. The influencing factors including reaction time, concentration of NaOH, and kinds of surfactants and reductants were systematically investigated. In addition, the formation mechanism of PbTe nanosheets was discussed.
