Abstract
On resourced-based review (RBV), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in high-technology industry usually explore competitive advantages through internal special resources. Recent studies on young, high-tech firms have highlighted that in practice these types of businesses also acquire competitive advantages through relationships and the structure involving knowledge blocking. This paper reconfigures a more comprehensive framework to explore knowledge management business practices among SMEs. Drawing on resources-based theories, the relational-based views, industry structure and ecosystem theories about sources of competitive advantage, this paper presents the co-opetitive organizational knowledge network of the SMEs in high-tech industry, and analyses the approaches through which SMEs can create competitive advantages on knowledge-based review (KBV)
