Abstract :
This paper evaluates the features of a new highly modular multilevel converter topology (M2C) for medium voltage applications. Furthermore this paper will compare the M2C converter topology with existing converter topologies regarding the basic principle of operation, measurements as well as the harmonic content of the electrical output values.
