Abstract
In this article, we propose an improvement of the available-to-promise (ATP) function which constitutes one of the important functions within the enterprise and the supply chain. The basic role of this function is to respond to the customer requests on the products´ availability. The proposed approach supports the dynamic and moving environment and handles with a variable demand. Its goal is to give an immediate response to the customers, to privilege the rush orders and to minimize the number of backorders. In this paper, we present the global framework based on the short term, the mid term and the long term horizons. Then, we introduce the already presented work concerning the short term horizon which based on a local stock. Subsequently, we focus on a mid term horizon approach based on inventory coordination and multi-agent cooperation for replenishment to fulfil customer requirements. An implementation of a model has been achieved and some results show the effectiveness of our approach
