  • Abstract
Electrostatic processes are used in industry both to remove unwanted electric charge and to enable or improve certain manufacturing operations. Processes that are developed in the laboratory can only operate in manufacturing or other plant areas when they are approved by those who have proper authority and responsibility for those areas. The variety of electrostatic processes is great, while few such processes garner interest within the standards community. An effort is made here to collect and report standards that have been issued for approval of industrial electrostatic processes, and to give some consideration to the third-party approval-process in such applications as might serve research and electrostatic process development.
