  • Abstract
A major reason for increasing the level of reuse in switching software development is to greatly improve productivity and quality. However, success in reuse is limited by a need for tools to help capture and retrieve various life-cycle products. How SRSGEN (software reuse system generator) accomplishes this goal is discussed. Expected benefits of the SRSGEN approach include more flexibility in responding to customer needs, faster response time in developing new switching system features, and better streamlining of the overall development process by reducing the proliferation of general-purpose software modules
