Abstract :
Blind equalization techniques based on maximizing the a-posterior probability density function (p.d.f) are investigated and a novel soft decision-directed (SDD) algorithm is proposed. The new algorithm can achieve the faster convergence speed and smaller residual intersymbol interference (ISI). The blind decision feedback equalizer using soft DD algorithm is also presented, which leads to superior performance than that of the linear equalizer. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed techniques
