Abstract
Using the SPICE program the authors develop a thyristor model whose implementation is primarily based on standard catalogue characteristics of actual devices. The starting point is the two-transistor model, and parameter characterization is supported by analytical expressions derived from the Ebers-Moll integral charge approach of the transistor. It is noted that some limitations of previous models of the same type have been overcome. When included in the simulation of Morgan´s converter, the proposed model has been found to agree well with experimental results
