Abstract
A flow diagram is presented of the algorithms used for automated determination of cloud-top height from “raw” satellite images. This method uses Along-Track Scanning Radiometer (ATSR) stereo images obtained from the ERS-1 satellite. The primary mission for ATSR was to obtain sea-surface temperature. For accurate cloud height determination studies, more precise geometric correction is essential. The required corrections are described
