Abstract
Discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and continuous conduction mode (CCM) in the boost PFC rectifier design for constant frequency operation are usually focused in separate considering distinct controllers and respective trade offs. This paper proposes a named hybrid one-cycle control (HOOC) that presents a smooth mode transition inside one mains half-cycle. One-cycle control (OCC) technique presents advantages such as operation with unity PF, large signal stability, noise immunity, low cost and simplicity. The proposed strategy allows operation in a large power range.
