Abstract
The identification of alternative splice site in the mouse genome is an important part of the recent alternative splicing event prediction work. In this paper, a non-EST-based predicting method is proposed for alternative 5´/3´ splice sites identification. Only based on local sequence features, more than 72% of alternative splice sites and constitutive splice sites can be correctly classified in the mouse genome.
