Abstract
This paper examines some of the components that make up a distribution system, how they are represented in fault level calculations and their effect on short circuit current based on experience that has been gained by studying fault levels in distribution systems. Essentially, this is the situation from a Regional Electricity Company´s viewpoint or that of a `User´ with a system similar to a distribution system, for instance a large industrial estate or business park
