Abstract :
For public-private interworking, it is very important to translate addresses and to map different protocols from each other. Any signaling protocol requires an addressing scheme to allow the signaling protocol to identify the source and destination of connections. In this paper, we propose a solution of fast address translation method on ATM LAN system for interworking between public and private ATM networks. In South of Korea, we will construct a test-bed which supports VoD (Video on Demand) services using our address translation method for public-private interworking. On current ATM networks, we assume that public UNI supports native E.164 address format and private UNI supports three kinds of NSAP-like format
