Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to propose an efficient method in order to optimize the transportation planning in a linear supply chain under just in time setting. After giving some interesting mathematical results of the problem, we apply these results to identify a near optimal, or ideally, an optimal loading sequence that minimizes the holding and the transportation costs at the whole assembly facilities. The efficiency of the developed method is illustrated by experimental results that show the solution improvement compared with other methods
