Abstract :
The effect of environmental elements generated from phosphor layer on the field emission property of carbon nanotube (CNT) tips sealed in field emission backlight units (FE-BLUs) was evaluated by residual gas analyzer (RGA), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), wavelength dispersive spectrometry (WDS) in this study. From the results, it is suggested that an effective way to prevent degradation of CNT is to change phosphors to non-Zn system.
