Transportation is the priority area for the development of modern service industry. The Transforming of road transport industry to modern service industry adapts to the strategic needs of economic restructuring and modern services developing. This paper describes the basic concept and industrial property of road transport industry, studies the transformation connotation of road transport industry to modern service industry, and analyses the transformation motive from external factors and internal factors.
