Abstract :
This paper explores the possibility of applying natural commutation technique to center-tapped HF link inverter. Natural commutation technique has been applied to bridge-type HF link inverter to solve the problems of switching loss and voltage surge across transformer secondary. The condition of natural commutation mechanism in HF link inverter is investigated to enable the design of modified switching technique. The theoretical analysis is verified with experimental results
