Abstract :
The research focus of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) Advanced Computation Laboratory is in theory and applications of artificial intelligence and cognitive science. The general aims of the ICRF are to carry out basic and applied research aimed at understanding the causes of cancer and to develop novel methods for predicting, preventing, diagnosing and treating the disease. This encompasses a challenging range of theoretical and practical problems for those interested in all aspects of problem solving and reasoning under uncertainty, and particularly for decision theorists
