Abstract :
We propose the quadratic-constrained formulas for the design of linear phase cosine modulated paranitary filter banks given by Karp and Fliege (see Proc. IEEE Int. Symp. Circuit Syst., p.744-7, 1995) and by Lin and Vaidyanathan (see IEEE Trans. Signal Processing, vol.SP32, no.11, p.2525-39, 1995). Using these formulae, we can, directly, optimize the prototype filter coefficients in a quadratic form. A design example is also given to demonstrate these formulae in this paper
