Abstract :
The method of vertical seismic profiling is one of the main data source about the seismic signals propagation velocities in geological mediums. Traditionally according to the vertical seismic profiling data some kinds of velocities are calculated: average, interval, formation. There are different methods of these velocities estimation, mainly based on the analysis of the downcoming wave curve. Application of the modern information technologies allows one to simplify maximally the process of the above mentioned velocities determination increasing the estimation accuracy in so doing. In the paper the results of the algorithms development of formation velocities and plot of instantaneous velocity calculation are discussed.
