Abstract :
It is necessary to select appropriate methods of calculation and lightning protection for transmission line has characteristics such as wide distribution, long span and high lightning trip-out rate. This paper initially introduces and compares several calculation methods, then analyzes principles of some common lightning protection measures of transmission line in detail. Large quantity fact proved that lightning protection and calculation methods have great value to guidance engineering practice.
