Abstract :
Summary from only given, as follows. Researchers involved in nondestructive evaluation (NDE) are interested in the energy/defect interaction in the material as well as the transducer response characteristics. Finite Elements (FE) requires a volume discretization making it ideal for studying energy/defect interaction while boundary elements (BE) handles infinite boundaries naturally. This paper presents the formulation for a three dimensional hybrid FE-BE model for eddy current NDE.
