Abstract :
A dual-purpose current sensing circuit, which can fully measure the inductor current suitable for hysteresis-current-controlled buck/buck-boost converter is proposed. The current sensing circuit, control circuit and power MOSFETs are integrated into a single chip. Using the same proposed chip, the buck and buck-boost converter can be synthesized. The dual-purpose is implemented with TSMC0.35 m CMOS DPQM processes. The chip area is only 2.25 mm2. The power efficiency of proposed converter can be up to 90%
