Abstract :
A novel detection approach of the shunt active power filter is proposed based on adaptive inverse control. The value of the fundamental active current needed by the mains current is determined through controlling the DC-side capacitor voltage. The supply system with the load and the APF are regarded as the generalized active filter and the inverse of its model is used as the controller to control DC capacitor voltage. The output voltage of the DC capacitor then traces the reference voltage input. This paper presents simulation results in steady and transient state
