Abstract :
Renewable power generation´s increased importance is owed to increased population and pollution concerns, global warming, and need for new energy resources. Solar energy is a completely clean energy resource and can be used almost anywhere; its application the focus of most research on it. Photovoltaic generation systems are reviewed here, in single-resource implementation and in various hybrid systems, and related past works on sizing and reliability issues are surveyed.
