Abstract
We propose a method to generate high-speed coherent phase-modulated signals using DXPM in an SOA-MZI. Results include generation of 80-Gb/s RZ-DPSK, CSRZ, GAP-CSRZ, PAP-CSRZ, and AMI modulation formats. The technique also enables output pulse-width control.
