Abstract :
Current researches on metadata-based information sharing mainly focus on a number of processional fields and existing metadata standards do not have general applicability. As users´ requirement for information sharing increases continuously, the on-demand sharing and synchronization for heterogeneous and complicated data becomes a serious issue to be solved. Firstly, the information sharing technology is researched in this paper, and a two-layer metadata standard is proposed. The first layer of metadata provides a uniform description format for one type of data, and the second layer of metadata manages the first layer of metadata to shield the difference among multi-class metadata formats. Secondly, an information sharing system is established to realize the multi-class data synchronization between different users. Finally, the effectiveness of the approach is proved by the experiment results and the conclusion is given.
