Abstract :
A decentralized system based on a recursive algorithm that resolves in a simple way the dynamic route guidance is presented. The road network can have any shape. The algorithm only requires the transit times among the arcs linking all the nodes of the road network. The algorithm works in an autonomous mode, minimizing the route length. The convergence time of the algorithm depends on the network dimension, although for networks with less than 10 nodes the algorithm needs less than 10 iterations. Software called Autoguide has been developed to perform the simulation of the dynamic route guidance system
