Abstract :
In the present paper, in order to give an overview on the frequency characteristics of the body-centric wireless communication channels, power transmission efficiencies between wearable antennas mounted on the human body in a range from HF to UHF bands (3 MHz-3 GHz) are numerically calculated by using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. According to the results, the transmission efficiencies increase with decreasing frequency, in a range below 200 MHz. Therefore, we conclude that the communications using the low frequency have an advantage in terms of the power consumption.
