Abstract :
This paper proposes the estimation of online instantaneous torque of a 12/8 three-phase switched-reluctance machine (SRM). The torque estimator achieved from the cubic spline interpolation technique. By using this method, we could reduce the need of too many input data which spending much time for data collection. The machine model is simulated in Matlab/Simulink to observe the dynamic behavior and also implemented using ADMC401 fixed-point digital signal processing (DSP) to verify the model. The agreement between simulation and experiment results has confirmed the accuracy of the proposed model and could be applied in various torque control applications
