Abstract :
1-wire single Bus is different from standard serial data communication Bus, such as SPI, I2C as well as Microwire Bus. 1-wire device use one signal line as two-way transmission, i.e., transmitting data bit and timing synchronization clock. In addition, it needs no additional power supply, and obtained directly sufficient current from one Bus (i.e., parasitic power supply). It has the advantages of little I/O port resources, simple structure, low cost, easy Bus expansion and maintenance and many other merits. In response to these characteristics and advantages, this paper describes in detail the internal principle of 1-Wire device and search algorithm. The utilization of search algorithm is illustrated for example of DS2432.
