Abstract

This paper documents the framework for a hypermedia information service for the Internet called the Petri net object information service (POIS). This Internet service takes into consideration such issues as user interactive concurrent multimedia. It includes a data model, MHPN, for hypermedia applications, a network protocol for client and server communication, and a server and client software architecture for authoring and browsing information services around the Internet
