Abstract :
This paper aims to review Chinese medicine treatment for chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) research from experiments, including experimental study of single herb, compound herb formulas, acupuncture and moxibustion. The mechanisms of Chinese medicine treatment for atrophic gastritis of action are as follows: (1) protect the gastric mucosa, (2) enhance antioxidant, (3) affect cell proliferation and gene expression, (4) affect gastrointestinal hormones. Under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine theory, carrying out the researches of Chinese medicine treatment for chronic atrophic gastritis with modern science and technology is beneficial to improve the treatment level of CAG.
