Abstract :
A novel estimation procedure of the prediction distance in high-resolution seismic marine prospecting is proposed which makes use of filter reflection coefficients evaluated for the main dereverberation procedure. In this way, the computational cost can be reduced. It is also shown that with a VLSI implementation of the processing algorithm, the proposed procedure allows a considerable reduction of hardware complexity
