Abstract :
High voltage direct current(HVDC) control system plays an important role for the safety of HVDC transmission system. Converter transformer tap changes control is core component of HVDC control system. Stability of HVDC transmission system operation is guaranteed by converter transformer tap changes control through controlling converter transformers. Tap change control simulation model was built based on PSCAD/ETDC according to actual HVDC control system and control theory in this paper. Simulation results show that tap change control simulation model has good effect on steady changes of HVDC system.
