Solution for analyzing interpersonal relationships based on mobile communication history

This paper investigates the possibility to characterize interpersonal relationship using call log information existing on any mobile device. Social networking analysis is usually carried on public or private data provided by existing social network sites. Instead, our solution uses communication log of the actual voice and messaging communication performed by the user. An interpersonal relationship degree model is proposed and implemented by a mobile application installed on Android devices. The relationship between users and their contacts are displayed as a weighted star graph visual representation.
