Abstract :
With the rapid economic growth in bay areas, water environment haved been polluted by various pollutants, water exchange in bays, lakes and reservoirs is one of the reaserch focus in recent years. This paper firstly proposed a new definition of tank water exchange time, as well as principles and application mode with texts and pictures. Based on conservative or non-conservative matters, water exchange time or range of water exchange time of bays, lakes and reservoirs could be easily calculated. The application prospect of tank water exchange time theory and method, obviously, will be very broad.
