  • Abstract
    We have focused on possible disturbances produced in the Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) band 380-460 MHz, by the commonly encountered walkie-talkie transceivers. In this paper we want principally to present our measurements, evaluations and recommendations regarding the influence of TETRA communication systems upon sensitive medical equipment, mainly four specific parameter of a mechanical ventilator: the inspiratory volume, the expiratory volume, the inspiratory pressure and finally the expiratory pressure. There were measured the values of the field strength associated with the TETRA traffic and in the same time, there were controlled, respecting a strict protocol, the alterations of the set parameters.
