Abstract :
To satisfy real-time requirement of mobile robot´ scene recognition, the parallel algorithms of salient features extraction are designed and implemented. Firstly, the parallel characters of salient features extraction are analyzed. Then, two parallel algorithms are presented based on multi-core and GPU respectively. Experiments show that multi-core parallel algorithm can satisfy real-time requirement and has simple implementation.
