Abstract :
This article presents an emergency control system, the results of a series of the offline procedures, designed to act correctively in the case of transmission line outages. The corrective actions have to do with introducing various forms of active and reactive operating reserves (spinning reserve, ready reserve, VAr equipment and load shedding). The suggested methodology, applied through the mentioned procedures, results in information arrangeable in tables and/or a chart of introducing particular segments of the operating reserve, together with the already scheduled generators, selecting the one suited best for the actual level and distribution of the system´s load.
