Abstract :
This paper presents a method of optical detection of wet road surfaces by measuring the intensity of infrared radiation reflected from the road. Dry surface reflects infrared radiation with a wavelength of 850 nm differently than wet surface. Research shows that it is possible to differentiate between the dry and wet surfaces using infrared light.
