Abstract :
The performance of an optical link with an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) was measured. It was found that EDFAs can be used in the saturation regime to transmit high-power optical microwave signals without noticeable linearity degradations. The distribution of a microwave signal from one source to 64 detectors with a signal-to-noise ratio of 145 dB/Hz was shown.<>
