  • Abstract
    Quality cost of products is the important part of the total cost. Quality cost include the internal and external failure costs, and preventing and identifying cost. The reject and rework cost is the most important part of internal and external failure costs. concentrate Because of preventing and identifying cost can be quantification easily, traditional companies usually are used to control these costs and ignore internal and external failure costs which is brought about by the no value-added activities such as reject and rework in the manufacturing process. We analyzed reject and rework costs based on products dimension chain and established a cost model of internal failure. Then based on product features, considering cost models, we analyzed the impact of key process against the cost and proposed a stratified quality control idea. Finally a program was designed to simulate this process by using VB 6.0.
