Hewlett Packard announced in July 1995 the company´s first product made with recycled plastics-DeskJet 850 printers. The use of recycled plastics in products is a major milestone for HP´s product stewardship program, an ongoing effort to make the company´s products more environmentally sensitive. This paper outlines the objectives, challenges, results, and breakthroughs in the development of these green products
