Abstract :
This paper presents a heuristic reconfiguration algorithm developed for implementation in a very flexible meshed network with remote controlled switches for real-time operating mode. The purpose is that of on-line minimisation of network operation costs over a time period, mainly through minimisation of power losses and the number of switching operations, preserving at the same time load balancing. The algorithm´s ability to perform an efficient optimal reconfiguration in normal operating condition has been tested in reference to a different degree of complexity of the meshed network which it is applied to.
